Acting Like Jesus Acts 11:26b: " The disciples were called Christians first at Antiock" (niv). In the New Testament Christians didn't give thenselves the title of Christian. It was the non-beleivers that did so. Why ? Be cause they acted Christ like. And their numbers grew even through some of the worse persecution ever. Many gave up their lives for the cause of reaching the poeple for Jesus. I read a book which tells of a group of Chritian men who reach out to new comers giving them some things for their basic needs. They are there when the others are hurting as well. Through this many men are getting saved. Oh I left out the most important part. Where is this happening. Jesup Prison in GA. You see men are coming to Christ because these men are doing the things that the church is called to do. Be like Jesus. Its not programs or big revial meeting although they have there place but is us just doing what we should be doing. To be like Jesus and do what he would do. Then the church will see real growth.
