Update Oct 20-99: I was just sitting here thinking as I listen to the Edwin Hawkins Singers singing songs like Oh Happy Day, I Am Going Through and Listen to the Rain and I started thinking about Jesus and his soon return. The song that touch me was I'm Going Through. It says Jesus paid the price and mo matter what sickness or trouble I'm going through I,m going through with Jesus. Hey we don't have to go it alone. Jesus said he would NEVER LEAVE US OR FORSAKE US. Psalm. 23: 4 says "Even if I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil for YOU ARE WITH ME, your rod and your staff they comfort me." All I can say about that is WOW. God himself is with me. Yes He is a friend that sticks closer than a brother. 1 Peter 5:6-7 says this " Humble yourselves, therefore, under God mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast ALL your anxiety on him cause He cares for you." All I can say is what a loving God we serve that he not only paid the price for are sins and promised us eternal live in heaven but he is here to help us through this life. Hey we do have something to be excited about. And if you don't know Jesus as your Lord and Savior today is the day just ask him into your heart and get into the Word ( The Bible) and also a Bible believing church and start serving Him. Update 3-9-99: We with the help of Crossroads Assembly of God, Hamburg NJ and
Northwest Christian School Newton NJ we were able to delives to the people of McDowell County 127 christmas gifts , some can goods, some clothes, 29 turkeys and $550 cash for the local church to stock their food pantry. All to the Glory of God. We came up alittle short on
expenses. We went in the hole over $600. This must be made up before we can make another trip.

I will be preaching in Berwind on Sunday 4/11/99 Lord willing. God has laid a message on my heart for the church. Not only theirs but the church in general. If your in the area please come on out.

We at Jim Sollers ministry have been in need to upgrade the ministry to the hungry children of McDowell County WV. Thanks to Donna , Rocky and Youth Of America we are getting a much needed computer. This will help us to update our web page and to list all contacts that we have in order to keep this ministry moving in the direction in which God is leading.
We also and most of all give praise to God for this answer to prayer. Donna and Rocky , thanks once again. Love In Jesus Name. His Servant Jim

WHAT I LEARNED FROM THEPOOR.  Psalm 22: 24 (GNV)  " He does not neglect the poor or ignore their suffering; He does not turn away from them, BUT ANSWERS WHEN THEY CALL FOR HELP.

It is heart breaking to go into a home where their children with nothing to eat. To here them say " I'm hungry" it just brings me to tears. But I learned from a Grandmother who is raising four of her grandchildren, who were left by their mom,a little about faith. She prayed for the three year old who has a spinal illness and she was toldby the doctors that the baby would never walk. Well he is walking and I have a video to prove it. You see she has to trust God for everything.

James 2: 5 says " Listen dear : Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith********   It broke my heart when we first arrived to find about twenty can of food on the church pantry shelves. I prayed  silently ,saying God I must do more. In just a few days all the food we brought with us was gone. I found out later that the people in charge of the pantry had been praying for a long time for someone to help fill their pantry. I was an answer to prayer and didn't  realize it . Hey God can use somebody who is a nobody. We are all   SOMEBODY IN JESUS.  There is a promise made by God. PSALM 41: 1-3  (GNV) " Happy are those who are concerned for the poor; The LORD will help them when they are in trouble. The LORD will protect them and preserve their lives; He will make then happy in the land; He will not abandon them to their enemies. The LORD will help them when they are sick and will restore them to health.

They Say There Are No Hungry Children In America?
Then Whom Are These Children Whom Go To Bed Each Night Hungry And Desperate For Love!???!

JF. Sollers, along with Pastor Gary Riffe, Prays and ACTS to assist those forgotten of ourown Nation to persevere and feel HIS Love and Grace through their humble actions . . .

In March of 1998, with the help of Pastor Gary Riffe and the Church body, JF. SollersMinistries was able to feed over 150 people in Berwind (McDowell County) West Virginia.

A former coal mining town, McDowell remains the second poorest county in the USA. Most ofthe poorly paid mining jobs that once dotted this American Eastern Heartland, are now asdark and silent as the blackened lungs of most of their survivors.

Yet, knowing that God shan't abandon any of HIS children, it is in HIS name that thesehumble yet powerful in the Holy Spirit men and women strive to continue this missionary ofhope and love on a regular basis.

They are collecting food and clothing and will be delivering these most important andbasic necessities once more! Their needs remain the basic finances necessary for thepurchase of additional supplies, and transportation and housing of these brethren of TheKingdom whom shall bring unto these forgotten peoples the Prayer and Ministry that mustaccompany these staples.

And, for 500 truly "little ones", they are in continual prayer for additionalfunding to purchase toys in celebration of Jesus' coming birthday.
